Event Cancellation
A published event needs to be mandatorily canceled by the event organizer if and only if it is not happening.
Cancellation of an event shall also:-
- Cancel all associated event passes
- Cancel all associated event registrations
Regulations
Section titled “Regulations”For compliance reasons and to protect the interests of participants, Ulsav enforces some regulations on cancellation of events and refunds of registration fee.
Ulsav requires that an event may be canceled on Ulsav only when the event is not happening in any form.
Before Event Start Time
Section titled “Before Event Start Time”Ulsav allows organizers to cancel their events before the scheduled start time of the event from the admin panel, either issuing or partial full refunds.
Issuing Full Refunds
Section titled “Issuing Full Refunds”Organizers are unrestricted to cancel any event by issuing full refunds any time before the scheduled start time of the event.
Issuing Partial Refunds
Section titled “Issuing Partial Refunds”To cancel an event before the scheduled start time of the event, and issue only issuing partial refunds, the following criteria need to be met:-
- a proper justification needs to be shared along with the cancellation request, which will be shared to participants
- cancellation and refund terms of the Organizer published via Ulsav must be followed
Issuing No Refunds
Section titled “Issuing No Refunds”Ulsav does not allow organizers to cancel an event for which registration fee was collected from participants without either issuing full or partial refunds. However, due to the below-mentioned special circumstances, this would be needed and as last resort the event shall be marked canceled from the end of Ulsav.
This could be due to, but not limited to:
- Organizer has gone bankrupt, or incapable of hosting the event anymore
- Emergency Situations, natural disasters, severe weather warnings, security threats, violence, or safety concerns
- Government orders or legal restrictions
- Venue emergencies (fire, structural damage, power outage)
- Medical emergencies affecting key personnel (such as performing artists, guests etc)
Ulsav will refund 100% of the platform fee it has collected, and work with the organizer or other law enforcement agencies to see if some participants or some amount if not all can be refunded.
After Event Start Time
Section titled “After Event Start Time”Automatic cancellation of an event is not allowed after the scheduled start time of the event. Please contact your Ulsav account manager, or Ulsav support for help.
Intimation to Registered Participants & Refunds
Section titled “Intimation to Registered Participants & Refunds”Upon cancellation of an event, Ulsav will immediately notify registered participants and automatically process refunds within 5–7 business days, subject to Refund & Settlement Balance of the event organizer with Ulsav.
Refunds to participants will be delayed if the event organizer does not have enough Refund & Settlement balance with Ulsav. In some of these cases, the refunds will therefore be directly processed from the end of the organizer and not from Ulsav, and in such cases, the participants will also be updated about the same.
Handling Disputes
Section titled “Handling Disputes”Ulsav is not responsible or legally liable for any dispute arising out of cancellation of any event. Ulsav is only a marketplace platform facilitating the organization of the event and collecting registration fee on behalf of the event organizer. Any dispute or complaint regarding cancellation or refunds must be directed to the event organizer and not Ulsav. However, Ulsav shall try its best to help both the organizer and the participant to resolve any dispute or complaint regarding event cancellations or refunds.
