Event: Publishing Rules

Publishing an event either directly or from draft is an irreversible action, and therefore, is allowed to be done only after it has been properly configured and setup.

The following are the requirements and rules that determine if an event can be published: -

  • Name of the event must be at least 3 characters and not more than 100 characters.
  • Description of the event must be set, and it should be at least 200 characters.
  • Category for the event must be correctly set.
  • Participation Mode for the event must be correctly set.
    • If the participation mode is set to in person or hybrid, then location must be set.
  • Start Time and End Time for the event must be set.
    • If exact schedule for the event is not available, confirmed or decided, it must be explicitly set to tentative, and the approximate month and year must be set.
    • If start time and end time is set, then the duration of the event must be at least 30 minutes.
  • Either team or individual registration must be allowed.
  • Atleast 1 event pass must be created, which can be unlisted, private or unavailable initially when publishing.

The following fields and configurations are not required to publish an event, but are good to have: -

  • Poster image must be uploaded in the correct aspect ratio of 4:5
  • Contact Details at least one organizer volunteer must be added so that participants can contact for enquiries or support.
