Event: Visibility

Visibility state determines whether events on Ulsav are visible, whom they are visible to, and who can register for them.

An event can be set to private, unlisted or public visibility state anytime the organizer wants, and is by default set to public state when the event is published. Additionally, as part of moderation, Ulsav may set an event to a banned state temporarily or permanently.

Organizations can make an event private any time to prevent everyone except the admins and registered participants from viewing or registering for the event.

  • Organization member users with access can view and manage the event through the admin portal
  • Registered participants can view their existing registration and event details.
  • Users/Invitees can be manually imported as registered participants, and registration fee can be collected. However, no user initiated registrations will be possible.

Organizations can unlist an event anytime to prevent public and non-registered users from viewing the event.

  • Organization member users with access through the admin portal
  • Registered participants can view their existing registration and event details.
  • Users with an invitation / direct link can view the event details, and based on availability of passes and on meeting other restrictions, register for the event.

When an event is published on Ulsav, it is by default published with the visibility status set to public. When an event is public, anyone can view the event and users can register for it based on the availability of passes and meeting other restrictions.

  • Everyone can view the event details
  • Users can register if passes are available, and they are not restricted.

Ulsav shall set an event to the banned visibility state either temporarily or permanently for moderation.

This could be due to

  • violation of the platform’s terms of service;
  • violation of any existing MoU or other contract between the organization and Ulsav;
  • upon receiving complaints from users, participants, regulatory bodies, etc.
  • upon receiving takedown requests or other legal orders

When an event is banned,

  • No new registration of any kind shall be accepted
  • Organization admins shall not be allowed to modify or delete any information or data associated with the event
  • Creation, updation or cancellation of associated passes shall not be allowed
  • All registered participants shall be notified
  • All pending settlements payable to the organization for this event as well as any other event will be freezed temporarily

The event organizer shall be sent a notice, and if the ban is lifted, the event will be made available again.
