Insights
The dashboards organizers see, which numbers each one shows, and who can see them
Insights are the dashboards: your Organization home, an Event's Insights tab, and the roll-ups above an Event. Reports are the separate, downloadable tables. This page maps the dashboards, the periods they use, and what disappears when a Member lacks access.

The Organization home
The home dashboard mixes three headline numbers, three ratios, and three breakups.
| Block | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Traffic | Page views, total and today, with a 30-day daily line |
| Registrations | Confirmed Registrations, total and today, with a 30-day line |
| Revenue | Net revenue, total and today, with a 30-day line |
| Conversion rate | Confirmed Orders divided by Event page views, for today, 7 days, and all time |
| Capacity sold | Confirmed Registrations divided by the capacity of active, published Passes |
| Turnout rate | Distinct Participants with a CheckIn divided by active Participants on confirmed Registrations |
| Upcoming Events | The next five published Events with their confirmed counts |
| Getting started | The setup checklist, from organization setup to first check-in |
Below those, three breakup cards each choose their own period: today, 7 days, 30 days, or all time.
- Top sources groups confirmed Orders by marketing source.
- Top categories groups confirmed Registrations and revenue by Event category.
- Top events groups confirmed Registrations and revenue by Event.
A breakup can be read by count or by revenue, and as a pie or a table.
The Event view
An Event's Insights tab, an Event group, and an Event series use the same building blocks. The scope changes; the rules do not.
| Block | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Sales | Confirmed and free Orders, gross, net, fees, tax, and average order value, with a comparison to the previous equal period |
| Marketing funnel | Viewed, registration started, checkout started, order confirmed |
| Attendance funnel | Credential issued, credential viewed, checked in |
| Traffic | Views, visitors, and a source table |
| Attribution | Confirmed Orders and gross revenue by source and medium |
| Top Events | The highest-grossing Events in scope |
| Trend | Confirmed Orders, gross, and net per day |
The period is chosen in days: 7, 30, 90, or all time. A bounded period also returns the previous equal-length window for the sales comparison.
Roll-ups
An Event group or Event series resolves to the list of its Events and then runs the same queries over that list. That is why a group total can differ from the sum of what you see on each Event page: an Event moved into or out of the group changes the list, not the underlying Orders.
The Organization scope means every Event in the Organization.
Who sees what
Insights reuse the capabilities that already guard the data. There is no second permission system to keep in sync.
| Data | Capability |
|---|---|
| Traffic and upcoming Events | events.read |
| Registrations | registrations.read |
| Revenue, sales, and sources | orders.read |
| Attendance and turnout | checkin_sessions.read |
| Getting started | organization.read |
When a Member lacks the capability, the section is omitted rather than shown empty. A dashboard with no revenue card means no Orders access, not zero revenue.
The ratio block appears when the Member holds at least one of Orders, Registrations, or Check-in Sessions access. Individual ratios may still be misleading without their inputs, so read them with the capability map in mind.
Reading the numbers
- Registrations counts confirmed entries, free or paid. It is not the number of people.
- Revenue is net: gross minus the platform fee and the tax on that fee.
- Conversion counts Orders, not seats. One Order can hold several Registrations.
- Capacity sold uses only active Passes on published Events. A Pass with no capacity does not add to the denominator.
- Turnout is per person, not per scan. A person admitted at three sessions counts once.
The full definitions live in Metrics.
When there is no data
A brand-new Organization sees a labelled sample dashboard instead of empty cards. The banner says the data is sample data, and the real figures replace it as soon as activity exists.
This is a preview, not synthetic rows mixed into your reports. Reports never use sample data.
What is not available
- There is no per-Event live check-in counter on the Insights tab. Live counters belong to the Check-in session page.
- There is no custom dashboard builder, saved view, or widget picker.
- There is no scheduled dashboard email. Scheduled delivery belongs to Reports.
- There is no currency split. Figures are summed and labelled INR, even if Orders were taken in another currency.
- There is no first-touch or multi-touch attribution view. Only last touch is shown.
