Event

Events are tagged, classified and organized in various ways in Ulsav.

  • Category — standard global event category which is required to publish an event.
  • Event Group — For events created under a portal, event groups can be created to group, classify, and manage events using these custom categories or groups. An event can be assigned to only one group.
  • Tags — tags that can be added to events to classify and group them. Multiple tags can be assigned to an event.
  • Participation Mode — how can a user participate in an event, it could be online, hybrid or in person.
  • Location / Venue — where the event is happening in case of hybrid or in person events. Location is required and is publicly displayed, while the exact venue details can be added later, and only shown to registered participants.
  • Visibility State - Visibility state determines whether an event is visible to anyone, to whom all it is visible and who can register. It can be changed anytime by the organizer, and can be private, unlisted or public.
  • Status State - Status state of an event is the current event lifecycle stage / state, and is always a one-way non-reversible transition. It can be draft, published, completed or canceled.

A parent event can be assigned to each event, and thus events can have multiple child-events or sub-events. Sub events will be listed in the parent event page. The parent event will also be referenced / shown for an event with a parent event.
